Learn about EA for Colleges + Universities
EcoApprentice is a practical and educational way to help students build their resumes and gain career-based education.Professors and Instructors will find EcoChallenges an excellent source for class projects, assignments, thesis reports, or potential internships.
How does it work? A business, seeking an environmentally friendly solution to some aspect of its operations, posts an EcoChallenge. Students respond with real-world EcoSolutions. When the business and students agree that the EcoChallenge is solved, the winning EcoSolution is posted, giving well-deserved credit to the students and their academic institution.
- EcoApprentice is flexible. While we encourage students to collaborate with businesses in their local communities, many relationships occur entirely online. Your college, university, or trade-school can be an active participant no matter where you’re located. High Schools/Middle Schools can participate if a teacher signs up for and represents the students in a class.
- EcoApprentice is free for students and schools. Students must be 18 or older to become a member. We have already had students recieve class credit for projects completed through EcoApprentice.
- EcoApprentice offers visibility. Participation demonstrates your school’s commitment to sustainable solutions for our communities and links you to an ever-growing resource which will provide practical, hands-on experience to students collaborating with businesses.
